1. Main Covid-19 Information


As Hockey returns following the lockdown for Covid-19 all relevant information for club members, players, umpires, coaches and parents will be provided here as a single entry point for all Covid-19 matters.

Important - it is [b]NO LONGER a requirement that all participants (players, umpires, coaches, managers, volunteers etc) involved in hockey complete the following online form[/b]

England Hockey Online Form

The current advice is the following:

  • No restrictions on participant/spectator numbers - outdoor or indoor.
  • No longer requirement to social distance.
  • Clubs can fully open including changing areas.
  • No requirement to send attendance records
  • No requirement to complete a participation agreement.

EH recommendations (which we will follow):

  • Maintain attendance records (this can be done easily with Pitchero following the same process implemented over the last season)
  • Self assess before attending any hockey event and not to attend if you have any symptoms (temperature, continuous cough, loss of taste or smell)
  • Maintain social distance where possible and no shouting at others in close proximity.
  • Continue to stick tap rather than shake hands
  • No spitting.
  • No sharing of equipment, food or drink.
  • Limit touch points and sanitise.

If Member of your household has a positive Test Result or Symptoms and is awaiting test results.

Self-isolate* in accordance with NHS guidelines. Inform the club Covid Officer that they are self- isolating due to a positive case in their household and DO NOT return to training/hockey activity until self- isolation period is complete and they are symptom free.

*Self-isolation after close contact (including a member of your household):
You no longer need to self-isolate if:

  • You are fully vaccinated^
  • You are below the age of 18 years, 6 months
  • You have taken part in or are currently part of an approved Covid-19 vaccine trial
  • You are not able to get vaccinated for medical reasons

^Fully vaccinated means that you have been vaccinated with an MHRA approved Covid-19 vaccine in the UK, and at least 14 days have passed since you received this.
