Matt has developed a strong reputation as a coach, leading clubs in the National league; St Albans M1, Old Loughts L1 and Wapping L1, creating environments for players to thrive and develop their technical and tactical skills. Most recently Matt has held a dual role at Sevenoaks HC, coaching the M1 in a successful season in Division 1 South whilst also Head of Junior Coaching.

Here at BromBecks, our own growth in numbers and the emerging pool of talent presents us with an opportunity to evolve what we can offer and to implement a program that provides more hockey across the board. This is an exciting opportunity for the club and a step in the right direction towards creating an environment where every player is supported, and developed to reach their full potential. Matt Burton-Bowen: "I am really excited to be joining Bromley and Beckenham Hockey Club. The club has a huge amount of potential, with a thriving junior section, and competitive senior section. I'm looking forward to building on the existing foundations and helping to take the club to the next level, creating opportunities for growth, clear pathways, and expanding on an already great culture.

From developing our coaches and planning around enhanced sessions, to integrating in-season academies and indoor hockey, Matt will be the catalyst for significant growth at the club. Matt will help strengthen the pathway to senior hockey across both boys and girls, lead on the junior coaching program, whilst also assisting the senior sides and their coaches too. To have someone of Matt’s experience and drive in the club, will help us very quickly realise our full potential.
