Brombecks boys took revenge on last weeks unfortunate narrow defeat to put away Sevenoaks U16s in a strong performance at Hollybush lane.
Goals by Femi and Man of Match Ollie went without reply until a last minute corner from Sevenoaks gave them a glimmer of hope before the final whistle.
With the mighty whites dominant passing always a threat, and keeping Sevenoaks at bay when they had the ball, several strong attacks from the boys opened up the 'oaks backline with pace from Fionn and Theo . With the Oaks keeper pulling off two outstanding saves in a 5 minute first quarter period from Jamie, a one handed save to deny a reaction volley and the second a low down stick save following another polished move, the boys always looked in control.
Sevenoaks toiled mostly in vain, the intensity and communication from Brombecks' defensive units showed the great team spirit that the boys are developing. From front to back the whites were outstanding, with superb efforts from Fionn and Theo, and a fierce tackling combination from Femi, Ollie and Gabe; while the back line was again superb with Elliot showing his class in marshalling the back line with George. Between the posts Zak was again showing his promise with an assured display.
Equally great performances from Ed, Jonny, Harrison, and Enda made up a great team performance. On to Wayfarers and the EH Tier 1 Cup.
Well done boys.
