BromBecks travel to Old Cranleighan's

Scott Poulier6 Oct - 11:37

Two wins from two!

Final Score: BromBecks 5 – 1 Old Cranleighan’s
Half-Time: BromBecks 4 – 0 Old Cranleighan’s

BromBecks delivered a commanding performance to secure a 5–1 victory over Old Cranleighan’s, booking their place in the next phase of the league competition.

First Half

From the opening whistle, BromBecks dominated proceedings, controlling possession and dictating the tempo. Their relentless energy and dynamism through the spine of the team paid off early, as they raced to a 4–0 lead by half-time.

Goals came from Teddy, Joe, Beau, and William, all neat finishes from close range. Three of these strikes were the result of excellent team play, showcasing crisp passing and intelligent movement—particularly down the right flank, where BromBecks repeatedly carved open the opposition.

Old Cranleighan’s were completely nullified in attack, failing to register a single shot on goal during the first 35 minutes.

Second Half

With the game effectively won, BromBecks continued to create numerous chances. Beau added his second of the day to make it 5–0, but despite dominating, the team was unable to convert several opportunities. Credit goes to the Old Cranleighan’s goalkeeper, who produced an inspired display, while BromBecks’ finishing lacked its earlier sharpness.

In the dying moments, a lapse in concentration gifted Old Cranleighan’s their only shot—and goal—of the match, denying BromBecks a clean sheet.

Performance Overview

This was a display of total control from start to finish. When BromBecks avoided over-dribbling and focused on quick passing, chances flowed freely. The team’s energy and dynamism were evident throughout, and the right-side play in the first half was particularly impressive.

A positive result and performance overall, setting up an exciting clash against Wimbledon Stormers next. A win there would see BromBecks topple last season’s national champions—a mouthwatering prospect!
