The current squad is competitive, with +20 players competing for a match-day place, consisting of home-grown talent, players with National League experience as well as experience from overseas.
The squad trains twice a week – Monday and Wednesday – at Langley Park School for Girls. Sessions are run by Stephen Mina-Jones, who has 28 years of experience in school and club hockey with a level 2 Australian hockey coaching qualification. In addition to the twice-weekly training sessions delivered on the pitch, our ladies sponsor Aphobos CrossFit provide preseason and in season sessions to bolster the squads fitness needs along with personalised individual support for players.
The squad’s focus and commitment on the pitch is matched by a desire to have fun as a group off it with various well-attended social events taking place at the club’s Beckenham Sports Club base, a few minutes’ drive from the pitch.
The squads main objective for the season and for the future is to return and maintain national league status. Whilst the squad remains competitive and ambitious we are always on the lookout for players who believe they can add to the ethos that we have at the club and the ability that we have within the squad.
